First Big Storm of the Season.....

One thing that we enjoy here is the Four Seasons.  Sometimes one of the Season will be really short, and sometimes one season will make an early entrance to the other season.  This happens nearly every year here in Utah and especially Southern Utah.  The first week in October, you can almost bet that we will have a cold front come through the area and leave snow in the Mountains.

According to the Weather Experts, this year is no exception.  We are already experiencing high winds, and a cold front will drop our temperatures about 20 degrees between today and tomorrow.  We are expecting snow above the 8000 foot level in the Mountains in the next day or two before this storm moves on out.  This isn't all that unusual, our temperature was probably 80 degrees yesterday and in the high 70's today.  By next week the temperatures will probably return to the high 70's and low 80's

I write this blog to let everyone know that the one thing you can expect in this area, is the unexpected.  Be prepared if you are going to the higher elevations, it can be warm and windy one day and snowing the next!  Although it isn't an uncommon occurance, it catches someone unprepared almost every year.  So please come up and visit us, it is beautiful!  But please remember the Boy Scout Motto and be prepared!

Great Restaurant in Las Vegas............

Darcy and I just returned from Las Vegas.  We had to pick up our niece at the airport.  While there we ate at one of our favorite restaurants El Rincon De Buenos Aires.  It has Argentinean Cuisine, for those unfamiliar with that it is a lot of beef and chicken.  It is very delicious, we have eaten there several times, I just thought that many of our friends travel to Las Vegas and they should enjoy this great food.  It is located a couple of miles west of the Strip, at 5300 W Spring Mountain Road in the Cathay Mall.

The food and service are excellent.  It is a quaint setting that includes sidewalk dining and a store where you can find more food items from Argentina.  The "Paralladas" or grills are great fare for those who wish to get a real good sampling of Argentina Cuisine, they also offer steaks, chicken, pasta and even pizza.  There is also a good cold and hot sandwiches available.

The next time that you're in Las Vegas, give them a try, if like a good steak, you will like their food.  Their Chimichurri Sauce is fantastic!  Anyway, now we have given up one of our secrets in Las Vegas!

Snap Shot Saturday...Signs That You're No Longer In a Big City

Darcy and I noticed something that reminded us that we're not living in a big city.  We drove down the Mountain from Brian Head to Parowan and this is what we saw.  The Building on the left is the Parowan Swimming Pool, the photos were taken at the Lion's Park in Parowan.

Yes there are 3 head of cattle grazing at the Parowan City Park.  Okay there are 2 cows and a calf!  This you don't see in the Big City!

Snap Shot Saturday...Autumn Colors

These are some of the beautiful fall colors that Darcy and I are forced to to live with!  Note the heavy sarcasm, please!  I wish that we had a telephoto lens for our Nikon digital camera.  Maybe the next commission check!  It is a gorgeous Saturday afternoon here, I hope that the colors come through!  These were taken between Brian Head and Cedar Breaks National Monument. The C Team Real Estate Photo

Unfortunately you can see the dead trees from the beetles!

Snap Shot Saturday....Cedar Breaks.....

These are some photos taken from the North Overlook of Cedar Breaks National Monument.  Darcy and I took this this morning, the sky is a little hazy, so the photos aren't as clear as I was hoping.  This is just one of several overlooks of the Park.
