What do you read?

As Realtors, we read a lot of books and articles about real estate.  We have a pretty good library started of Real Estate books, as well as sales training type books and articles.  We also read the leadership, motivational materials and books that we can find.  We look at this as training to better serve our clients and be more effective and professional.  We also are readers for fun, we don't go to a lot of movies and things like that, not because we don't like getting out and meeting people, but there is a lot of garbage out there, and it is expensive to go to movies.

We do like to go out to dinner, and if there is something interesting, we will go to that, but to unwind, we both like to read.  I find myself to be a little eclectic in what I read.  I have really gotten into the Lee Child series of books with the hero Jack Reacher.  I have read all of them that he has released so far.  Darcy likes the JD Robb series set in the future, and has read most of them.  We were just curious if there are any readers out there, and what do you like to read?

If you're looking to buy or sell real estate in Cedar City, Utah; please give us a call.  We would love to earn your business!

Most of my reading centers around the news...both on-line and in print (on Sunday).  Otherwise, I read about computers and real estate...mostly on-line.

I have never been a book worm, but I do listen to a lot of CD's in my car from motivational speakers or ways to improve my business. I turn my drive time into classroom time. Just thought that I would share.

I suppose I'm all over the place in my reading; after all, I am a recent undergraduate from UCLA. What I really enjoy is a mix of things from books on Economics, State Power & World Economics, Professional Development books, and fiction books by Stephen Frey. I'll go to Barnes & Noble at least once a month and venture around until I find something worth reading!

"Everybody Wins: The Story and Lessons Behind RE/MAX" was a fun read.  It's interesting to see how many times RE/MAX was on the ropes in the early years.  It gives some perspective when you look at new models like Exit Realty that are dismissed by many in the industry.  I'm not touting for RE/MAX or Exit, but you never can tell which models are going to survive and ultimately influence the industry.  The RE/MAX model was also dismissed as a "gimmick" that couldn't work (as was Century 21), but it has had a tremendous influence on the industry.  That's what I got from my reading.

Thanks for your comments, I am so looking forward to our Barnes and Noble opening!  We have a B Dalton, but it isn't the same.  It will be hard not to spend a fortune there!
